UCL LCCOS Staff Summer School 2023 – bookings now open

The UCL LCCOS Staff Summer School (formerly UCL Library Services Staff Summer School) is a series of training and development sessions, events and online activities aimed at staff from across UCL LCCOS, to support their ability to answer enquiries and to provide support, training and advocacy to users and stakeholders. Sessions are generally delivered by colleagues, so we can share our expertise.
The programme this year has a variety of sessions, running throughout June and July:
- Creating effective instructional videos (live online, 3 part series):
- What makes an effective instructional video and planning an instructional video (13:30 – 14:50, Thursday, June 15, 2023)
- The importance of effective visuals, audio and engagement in instructional videos (11:00 – 12:20, Friday, June 30, 2023)
- Tips and tricks for editing effective instructional videos (10:00 – 11:20, Monday, July 17, 2023)
- Subject guides: Find them, use them, help us improve them (live online, 11:00 – 11:50, Thursday, June 22, 2023)
- Introduction to Zotero – Training for trainers (live online, 10:00 – 12:00, Friday, June 23, 2023)
- Induction exchange: an online event for LCCOS colleagues to share ideas and best practice around induction activities (live online, 10:00 – 11:30, Tuesday, July 4, 2023)
- Flagship Collections: Expanding Perspectives and Further Developments (face to face, 11:15 – 12:45, Thursday, July 6, 2023)
- AI at UCL: Library support for AI literacy (live online, 14:00 – 14:50, Monday, July 10, 2023)

If you do not already have access, please get the enrolment key. Sessions are open to all UCL Library Services staff, with approval from your line manager.
