Lauren Bonilla, Rebecca Plueckhahn, and Rebecca Empson explore ‘Digital Politics in Mongolia‘ on the Material World blog.  This piece examines the reception and implementation of a poll that circulated through mobile phones in Mongolia seeking to gauge the opinion of the population at a critical economic juncture.  It pays particular attention to the language used in the poll and the way it presented choices for economic futures as well as masking potential decisions.
