Funding

Transcribe Bentham was established under funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council and subsequently received funding from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the European Union’s FP7 research and innovation programme.  It is now funded as part of the READ project, which is working on the Automated Text Recognition of historical manuscripts.  READ is funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement no. 674943.
