By ucetjop, on 9 March 2016
The Grand Challenges Research Summer School is returning for its third year, from 31 May to 2 June 2016. This three-day course is perfect for UCL research students who want to learn more about cross-disciplinary research, funding opportunities and engaging with policy makers.
If you want to get a flavour of the previous summer school events, take a look at the photo galleries, or the previous post.
The final programme for 2016 is currently being developed and will be confirmed soon. Last year’s programme included:
- The UCL Grand Challenges
- The Research Councils’ agendas
- The academic discussion of cross-disciplinarity
- Creating impact from research
- The EU research agenda
- Presentations about cross-disciplinary research projects in 2015 included:
- Doing video-ethnographic research in the operating theatre
- Do the suburbs exist? an interdisciplinary perspective
- Making Communities Resilient
- Black geographies and public histories
You can sign up for your place on the Grand Challenges website.
