Selection Criteria
The criteria for selection will be:
- A demonstrated interest in exploring cross-disciplinary intersections with other researchers, encouraged through research training
- An innovative approach to studies in their own disciplinary area as evidenced in their application statement.
- Clarity in thinking on the advantages of cross-disciplinary approaches to research addressing complex problems
- The final selection will also seek to ensure diversity of disciplinary backgrounds across the Summer School participants.
The selection panel will comprise:
- Professor Yvonne Rydin, Bartlett School of Planning and convenor of the GC Research Student Summer School
- Dr Ian Scott, Principal Facilitator of the UCL Grand Challenges Programme
- Dr James Paskins, the Coordinator of the UCL Grand Challenge of Sustainable Cities
