The aim of the second session was to introduce the participants to the general principles of conservation and to raise awareness of the conservation conditions of everyday objects. The morning session was led by Susi Pancaldo, Senior Conservator, UCL Public and Cultural Engagement Department, who talked to the group about object handling and storage, pest management and environmental conditions. In the afternoon, the group considered conservation issues using objects that they brought from home.
