Training

The Learning Technologies Unit (LTU) provides face-to-face group training sessions, small group and one-to-one training for staff, as well as the development of online training materials. We work with UCL Digital Education and UCL Arena on development programmes.

Services for UCL IOE Staff

  • LTU Seminars, Workshops & Webinars
  • Bespoke team training
  • Individual sessions

The focus of our training is to look beyond the basics, to demonstrate, explore and train staff in the use of technologies that will enhance their teaching provision and the learner experience. This can be anything from the use of media, to exploring different assessment methods, blogs, wikis, etc. We also provide training in technologies that can be used in the classroom, such as lecture capture, and bring your own device (BYOD) technologies and software.

Most of our training is arranged on request where programmes or module teams have identified areas of knowledge they would like to improve on. We also hold occasional open to all ‘taster’ sessions, looking at new technologies or methods of working with the technology.
