The UCL Department of Risk and Disaster Reduction (RDR) leads multi-disciplinary research, knowledge exchange and teaching in risk and disaster reduction across UCL. In 2020, the RDR became UCL’s newest academic department. Academics, humanitarian organisations, and policy makers are brought together all working together towards improved global risk and disaster reduction. The RDR offer undergraduate, master’s, and PhD programmes covering the vital aspects of disaster risk reduction and humanitarianism.
