Welcome!

Welcome to the new blog space of the UCL Ethnography Collections!

Housed within the Anthropology Department, the collections are a treasure trove of artefacts, images, and even equipment reflecting patterns in collecting “ethnographic” objects and teaching through material culture over the past one hundred years or more.

This blog space is a new enterprise: alongside our two curators, and numerous staff and students who work in the collections, we have a number of projects to both conserve and research objects. We plan to use this space as an extension of all of these projects to let people know more about the collections themselves and what we are doing with them.
