Film Club: Rhosyn a Rhith / Coming Up Roses (dir. Stephen Bayly, 1986)

Dear all,

Thank you so much to everyone who has attended and / or presented a film at the above this summer.

It’s been really great so far, with over 60 staff and students joining (including some from SSEES, who are very welcome). We’ve had a lively discussion each week and explored all sorts of films. We are looking forward now to next week and our seventh film, Rhosyn a Rhith / Coming Up Roses (Stephen Bayly, 1986), kindly suggested and introduced by Ruth Austin. Given the success so far and the many intriguing suggestions of films we’ve had from students and staff, we are continuing the Film Club up to 28 July inclusive, before a summer break. And now we are thinking about the next academic year and that it would be great to see Film Club continue as a proven way to continue to engage with students and colleagues. Christine and I are currently looking for a team (students and / or staff) to help take it forward for next term, since our availability will be limited then, so if you are interested or have any questions, please do get in touch.
