Opportunities to join our lab
MSc studentships
The neurulation biomechanics lab has a strong track record of enabling MSc students to immerse themselves in a topic they are excited about, reach their academic potential and achieve co-authorship on manuscripts. This year we can offer up to two lab-based projects for students interested in neural development and neural tube defects. Please contact the PI if you wish to discuss these interests. Possible projects range from fundamental studies dissecting the molecular regulation of cell behaviour to more applied research into spinal neuronal regeneration in fetuses with spina bifida. Students will be selected competitively and research projects adapted to their interests.
PhD Studentships
- We are offering a PhD studentship entitled “Emergence of variability from multi-scale stochasticity in organoids and embryos” as part of the ICH Institutional PhD scheme. Apply here.
- Students wishing to self-fund a PhD are encouraged to have a look at a project we have on offer in collaboration with Prof Andy Copp.
BSc Student projects
BSc students wishing to undertake a research placement in the lab are encouraged to contact the PI.
