EdD@25
For 25 years, the Doctor in Education programme at the IOE, UCL’s Faculty of Education and Society, has worked to enable educational transformations – in our students, in our staff and in a wide variety of context and settings.
This summer, we’re taking the time to celebrate and share these developments over the last 25 years, as part of the wider IOE 120th anniversary celebrations.
We are reaching out to current EdD students and alumni and current and past EdD staff with an invitation to contribute to the celebration by reflecting on:
- The ways in which the EdD has transformed them as individual professionals;
- The ways in which the EdD has transformed educational contexts – at an institutional level or more broadly; and / or
- The ways in which EdD itself has been transformed.
We will be celebrating EdD transformations this year through:
- blog posts on our Centre for Doctoral Education website;
- contributions to podcasts;
- contributions to seminars; and
- an event on the 4th July, between 5 and 8pm, which current students, alumni and staff are invited to attend and to which we hope they will wish to contribute.
You can contribute the EdD@25 celebrations in variety of ways – some taking no more than a few minutes of your time. You can also simply read, watch and / or join us for our event, of course.
If you would like to contribute to our celebration of EdD transformations, here are the options:
- If you’d like to contribute a short reflection, please do so by posting a comment (or a series of comments) to the Menti that you will find at this link.
- If you’d like to contribute to a podcast by being interviewed about your EdD experience, please let us know by completing this short online form.
- If you would be interested in contributing a presentation (15 minutes) to a seminar, please fill in this short online form.
- If you would be interested in writing a blog (around 800 words) sharing aspects of your EdD journey, please fill in this short online form.
Registration will be open soon for the EdD@25 celebration event on the 4th July.
To register an interest in attending, please email Dr Arthur Chapman, Deputy EdD Programme leader, on arthur.chapman@ucl.ac.uk.
