UCL & UCLU Present:
Postgraduate Volunteering & Public Engagement Fair
Thursday 28th November
6 – 8pm
Haldane Room, Wilkins North Cloisters
UCL Postgrads! Are you interested in making connections with local communities? Thinking about volunteering? Want to collaborate with people outside of academia? If so, come along to UCLU’s first ever Postgraduate Volunteering and Public Engagement Fair. There will be dozens of stalls to browse, and staff from across UCL and UCLU to give advice about volunteering and public engagement. Oh, and we’ll have refreshments too.
Exhibitors include The Access Project, Body & Soul, St. Pancras Community Association, Training Link, Healthwatch Camden, Camden CAB Service, International Alliance of Patients Organizations (IAPO), Kids Company, Maytree Respite Centre, Aston-Mansfield, City Year UK, Generating Genius, IntoUniversity and Action Tutoring.
UCL’s Public Engagement Unit will be on hand to talk about how to connect your areas of research or study to non-academic communities, and UCLU’s Volunteering Services Unit will be there to give you advice about finding the right volunteering opportunity. We’ll also have information about setting up and running your own community project.
