Progress Update – 1 to 7 April 2017

Hi everyone! We have some very exciting news this week as we’ve passed another big milestone. Over 18,000 pages have now been transcribed by our volunteers since 2010. This is a vast amount of effort and we are hugely grateful to all of our transcribers – thank you!

A note about the Easter period. The Transcription Desk will remain open over the holidays but UCL will be closed from 13 to 19 April. The checking of submitted transcripts will therefore be slowed down during this time.

Here are those all important statistics in full. 18,041 manuscript pages have now been transcribed or partially-transcribed, which is an increase of 57 on last week’s total. Of these transcripts, 17,060 (94%) have been checked and approved by TB staff.
