Progress Update – 25 to 31 March 2017

Hello and welcome to this week’s update from Transcribe Bentham. The volunteers have been busy over the past week and we are grateful, as ever, for their efforts.

There is some exciting news this week – our volunteers have managed to completely transcribe the manuscripts in Box 120! The papers in this box explain some of Bentham’s ideas for his Panopticon prison, and demonstrate his anger when these plans did not come to fruition. Thanks for everyone who contributed to the transcription of this box – especially the user ohsoldgirl who undertook the bulk of the work.

Back to the stats. 17,984 manuscript pages have now been transcribed or partially-transcribed, which is an increase of 79 on last week’s total. Of these transcripts, 17,009 (94%) have been checked and approved by TB staff.

Progress Update – 18 to 24 March 2017

Hello everyone! We’re here with the latest statistics detailing the activity of our transcribers. We’re pushing very close to 18,000 pages transcribed, which is very exciting for us. We owe all of our new and existing volunteers a huge thanks for their hard work.

17,905 manuscript pages have now been transcribed or partially-transcribed, which is an increase of 31 on last week’s total. Of these transcripts, 16,967 (94%) have been checked and approved by TB staff.

Another Friday, another statistics update! The transcribers have been working at a good pace over the past seven days and we owe them a huge thanks for their hard work.

17,842 manuscript pages have now been transcribed or partially-transcribed, which is an increase of 28 on last week’s total. Of these transcripts, 16,841 (94%) have been checked and approved by TB staff.
