SilviLaser23 is less than 2 weeks away! We are looking forward to welcoming you to UCL for what we hope will be a great conference!

The workshop series is now full! We are looking forward to welcoming 70+ attendees to a day of CloudCompare, LAStools, GEDI and lidR.

We are pleased to announce 4 workshops to accompany SilviLaser 2023.

• CloudCompare and CloudComPy: Unleash the power of CloudCompare with CloudComPy
• lidR: (A workshop for) Airborne LiDAR Data Manipulation and Visualization for Forestry Applications
• LAStools: Hands-on Introduction to LAStools for forestry applications
• GEDI: GEDI Masters

Workshops are free to attend and will be run as two parallel sessions on Tuesday 5th September at UCL.

We are pleased to announce that registration for SilviLaser 2023 is now open! Please follow this link to the registration page and further information on accommodation and visas.

Registration can be purchased at an early-bird rate until 30th June, 2023.

For those who have submitted abstracts and are waiting for a decision, we are aiming to have a decision to you before the end of next week.

Social events

When registering please also indicate if you would like to attend the icebreaker (Tuesday 5th) and the @WomenOfWaveforms breakfast (Thursday 7th).

Excursions

We are trying a different approach to excursions this year. During the conference lunch breaks, Paul Wood will be leading guided street tree walks around Bloomsbury. Paul has published a number of books on the street trees of London and is a regular at London’s Urban Tree Festival. There is no need to book your place before the conference, but places will be limited.

Workshops

We are pleased to announce workshops from CloudCompare/CloudComPy, GEDI, lidR and LAStools. Workshops will take place as two parallel sessions on Tuesday 5th September at UCL . We are putting the finishing touches to the workshop programme, registration will be open soon.
