There are over 100 researchers at UCL working in the topic of Quantum Technologies, distributed over five departments. These include over 30 principal investigators (PIs), in addition to post-doctoral researchers and PhD students.

Our research covers both theoretical and experimental aspects of quantum technologies, such as quantum computers, quantum simulators, quantum sensors and tools for quantum metrology. It spans the fundamental physics behind quantum technologies, engineering materials and devices which underpin quantum technologies, as well as the information and computer science associated with the exploitation of quantum technologies.
