Co-Production Collective has launched! Catch-up with everything you missed and more…

By Niccola, on 26 October 2020

A summary of everything you could possibly need to catch up with Co-Production Collective’s official Launch! Formerly known as UCL Centre for Co-Production in Health Research, Co-Production Collective is our brand new co-produced name and identity.

Over 300 people attended the official Co-Production Collective Launch Event on 22 October 2020, a buzzing Zoom call with attendees radiating energy and enthusiasm right until the very end of the event!

The launch was pretty packed, as we had a lot to cram in! We wanted to celebrate three years of work from the hundreds of co-producers who have been involved in co-producing our journey so far, as well as revealing our new co-produced name and identity. Finally, we wanted to look to the future and think about what’s next for this co-produced Co-Production Collective. To catch-up on the work behind the launch, you can check out a previous blog from the Event Organising team: ‘Join us for the official LAUNCH of the Centre for Co-production’.

We know that there are people who weren’t able to make it and quite a few of you have told us you’d like to see it all again, so we’re pleased to share the following with you:

The Launch Event itself

You are welcome to watch the Launch Event video recording (or if you prefer, listen to the audio recording). The whole thing was 2 hours long, which we know is a bit of a commitment! Please feel free to use the contents list we’ve prepared and skip to the parts that you’re more interested in – we won’t be offended! Well, maybe we will be a little…. Joking! 🙂 Here are the links you need:

A few other things to mention:

  • It starts fairly randomly in the middle of me (Nicc) talking to Chris the host, we pressed the record button a little late and so missed my welcome, sorry! (I’m sure you’re mortified! Haha!).
  • We’ve edited out the breakouts section as Zoom only records what happens in the main room (I’m letting you know in case you are wondering why the video jumps at this point).
  • If you would like a transcribed version of the launch or an audio recording (rather than a video) please email us at coproduction@ucl.ac.uk and we can arrange to send this to you.

Other bits and pieces from the event

The event Guest Bookas a PDF

  • This is a really lovely summary of some of the people who were in the room, feel free to have a browse and connect with people who have left their details

The slides shared during the event – as a PDF.

We’ll share the live illustration worked on by Anna from New Possibilities during the event as soon as she has finished her work of art

We ran the CoProLive festival in the lead up to our official Launch Event – hear more about what we got up to from Mandy and Mark in our blog, ‘#CoProLive: getting creative with co-production’.

Our after party for the event was an amazing set by DJ Lady LXA (also know as Centre Co-producer Cristina!) live on GaGa Radio – the co-produced community radio station run by We Coproduce. We would like to say a massive thank you to Jane from We Coproduce and Cristina who put this on for us!!

If you are unable to access any of the resources shared please email us at coproduction@ucl.ac.uk and we’ll be happy to help you or provide an alternative document type.

Let us know what you think!
