By Kim Morgan, on 27 August 2014

The UCL Psychoanalysis Unit presents a half-day conference focusing on thoughts on war. 2014, the year of the  hundredth anniversary of the first world war occurs in a contemporary world besieged by conflict. This conference, organised by the Psychoanalysis Unit, considers the omni-presence of war in human life and society. Psychoanalysts and academics will discuss the fundamental place of war in history and offer some approaches to understanding its continuing centrality, psychologically, socially and culturally.
