ISD Survey – Student experience of IT facilities

Lisa KFlint6 January 2011

UCL is keen to provide you with outstanding IT facilities that best support your learning, your research, and your broader experience as a student. We know we are not there yet and we need your help to get there. Information Systems (ISD) would like to hear what works for you, what doesn’t and what you are looking for from IT and technology at UCL.

Therefore we have put together simple survey with 25 questions and we’re asking every student to complete it. Because the survey is so important we are offering some great prizes – two iPads, three Kindles and five £30 book tokens. All students who complete the survey are eligible to participate in the prize draw. The survey should take around 10 minutes of your time. A small investment that will let us know what you want so we can improve the services for you.

The survey can be accessed at https://opinio.ucl.ac.uk/s?s=12117 and will remain open until 5pm on Friday 14th January.

Happy New Year!

Lisa KFlint4 January 2011

Hello and a happy new year to everyone!

Apologies for the lack of updates last term, hopefully this term will see some improvements!

The first news item is about the Medical Sciences periodicals room on the 2nd floor of the Science Library. There are plans to rearrange the room so that there are more reader spaces and a better layout of the collections in that room. This will however mean that some journals may be unaccessible for a time. Work is due to start early 2011, and hopefully will be completed in good time. More news as it happens…
