New PCs at the Institute of Archaeology Library

The Institute of Archaeology Library has three new computers located in its main reading room. All three have Myriad connections and can be accessed using your UCL username and password, and they are all connected to the printer in the cluster room opposite the library.

The Institute of Archaeology Library will be opening late, at 10.00 a.m., this Friday 1st October because of our monthly library staff meeting. The book bin will be left open for the return of library materials and the 5th floor cluster will be open from 8.30 a.m. as usual.

The library will be open in good time for the 10.00 a.m. library tour.

IOA library: end of extended opening hours

Just to remind you that extended opening hours in the UCL Institute of Archaeology Library and many other UCL libraries have now come to an end.

From today, 1st June until Saturday, 12th June, our opening hours return to normal term-time arrangements:

Monday – Thursday: 9.30 a.m. to  9.00 p.m.
Friday: 9.30 a.m. – 7.00 p.m.
Saturday: 11.00 a.m. – 6.00 p.m.

Oxford Biblical Studies Online

UCL has a trial of Oxford Biblical Studies Online until 3 June 2009.

Oxford Biblical Studies Online includes the New Oxford Annotated Bible and five other popular Oxford study bibles.  Texts from selected Oxford bibles can be viewed in side-by-side display with the user’s choice of commentary and annotations from the study bibles, the stand-alone Oxford Bible Commentary, and A-Z concordances for the NRSV and NAB translations. The Bible content is supplemented by collections of major apocryphal Old and New Testament texts in translation.
