The Interview guidelines for recruitment panels has been updated on LibNet. The changes include:
- Incorporating guidance for interviews that are being conducted virtually in order to provide clarity and consistency.
- Panel composition and the support Library HR can provide to recruitment chairs when identifying trained Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic panel members within the department in order to promote more diverse recruitment panels. Library HR will contact relevant individuals to identify whether they wish to partake in the recruitment campaign on a voluntary basis.
- UCL fair recruitment specialist initiative which was developed and implemented as part of the Race Equality Charter to facilitate more diverse recruitment panels through the provision of trained staff across UCL who identify as Black Asian or Minority Ethnic.
- The management of paperwork associated with recruitment campaigns
- Interview etiquette when conducting the process virtually
All those intending to participate on recruitment panels need to complete UCL Recruitment essential training if they have not already done so previously, this needs to occur prior to take parting as a panel member.
