Art, maths, movies and point-of-view
We have been given a wonderful opportunity to exhibit an exciting piece of artwork by Crispin Hughes and Susie Arnott.
Digital recordings are data, as well as pictures & sound. UCL Science Library is screening immersive art: The tides in central London as subject matter for a series of films playing with time, space, sampling and perception. A collaboration between a filmmaker, a photographer, and mathematicians from UCL’s Big Data Institute, using Eulerian & Lagrangian approaches to fluid dynamics – and touching on the uncertainty principle.
This will be on display from 27th July 2017 – 22nd September 2017:
- Monday – Friday 0930hrs – 2045hrs
- Saturday 1100hrs – 1745hrs
