SIMUL8 Model

This model, built in SIMUL8 looks to disseminate the likely impact on total system costs and demand of introducing the Idylla device into a hepatitis C pathway. The model has been built to be sufficiently generic so that key parameters can easily be changed to fit with localized flows. The user can easily change inputs such as:

• Population and disease prevalence
• Staffing numbers and activities
• Expected treatment cost and success rate
• The cost of treatment, staff cost and likely revenues per treatment

This allows each user to get a tailored expectation of the benefits the Idylla tool will provide to them, aiding understanding by giving a visual representation of patient flow.
