The Curious Case of a Nest
The Curious Case of a Nest, a paper written by Hanine Miriam Habig has recently been published on The Anthropolitan website.
Hanine volunteered in the collection between 2015 and 2017, while doing her MA in the department and the year following her graduation. As an Assistant Curator, she focused her attention on a group of objects given in 1963 and related to someone named George Shirley Rawlings. She published a first paper on The Anthropolitan online focusing on The Rawlings collection. This new paper focuses on the only entirely non-human made object kept in the Ethnography Collection. Using a diverse sources – archives, research, interview – Hanine finally managed to crack the secret of the nest.
