I am a BA student of Heritage Studies and in my May exam am tasked with examining a country house through social and cultural aspects. I have chosen Belton House, Lincolnshire and am examining the Chinoiserie decorative style within the House. I wonder if you have any case study on the wallpapers and oriental motifs within Belton.
Many thanks

Dear Therese,
Many thanks for your message. I’m afraid we don’t have a case study on Belton, but the Chinese Wallpaper booklet (soon to be published by the National Trust) does feature Belton House, so it is worth looking up!
All best,
Kate
The booklet is due to be published in early March – see http://nttreasurehunt.wordpress.com/category/wallpaper/.
Thank you both for your response – I have ordered a copy of the publication.
