Throughout the 2017/18 academic year, our Research team has been working with The Brilliant Club to deliver the TBCxUCL Research Seminars on topics related to our work such as Critical Thinking and Meta-Cognition. We caught up with Lauren Bellaera from The Brilliant Club to find out more about her work there and how she has found working on the seminars with us.

Alex Lee is a postgraduate teaching assistant. Since finishing her PhD at UCL, she has worked as a tutor in the History department and with the university’s Writing Lab. She also spends time working as a Taster Presenter with the Access and Widening Participation team.

Nozomi Sakata is studying towards her PhD in Education. Her research focuses on teaching methods in Tanzania. Alongside her studies, she is actively involved in working with young people, as a mentor for the Brilliant Club and a Taster Presenter for the UCL Access and Widening Participation Team. We asked her about her research and learn about her experiences as a Taster Presenter.
