This weekend sees the start of the Special Libraries Association Conference in Philadelphia. This year two of the four Early Career Conference Awards have been presented to UCL Alumni, Chris Cooper and Natalia Madjarevic (both MA LIS 2009). On 23 May, MA LIS students Tom Gallaher, Natalia Madjarevic, Ruairi Martin, Anna Semmens, Ben Veasey and Sarah Wheeler and  cycled from London to Amsterdam to raise £2,769 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Their fundraising is featured in this month’s Library & Information Update.
