UCL Citizen Cyberlab requests experiences of Transcribe Bentham volunteers

By Tim Causer, on 29 January 2013

The Citizen Cyberlab is run by colleagues here at UCL, and is investigating how citizens can learn about science while taking part in research. The overall project will deliver four pilot projects to assess factors such as what motivates participants, and the tools and virtual environments used to facilitate research.

The Citizen Cyberlab team would also like to interview participants in citizen science/crowdsourcing projects. These include Transcribe Bentham volunteers, who have great experience of taking part in a project where the task at hand is often complex and deeply involved.

If you would like to participate in these interviews, please do contact the Citizen Cyberlab team (or alternatively, contact us at Transcribe Bentham, and we can put you in touch with the right people). Interviews can be conducted via Skype, and all participants will receive a £15 Amazon gift voucher by way of thanks for their time.

N.B: Interviews will be audio recorded and then transcribed. Data collected will be anonymised, and will be subject to the Data Protection Act (1998).
