Transcribe Bentham progress update, 30 July to 5 August 2011

Welcome to the progress update for the period 30 July to 5 August 2011, which has seen the greatest level of transcription since the week ending 1 July.

1,669 manuscripts have now been transcribed, up 44 on last week. 1,401 of the transcripts, or 84%, are now complete and locked. We are now closing in on reaching our next milestone, that of having 1,500 transcripts completed.

The state of play for each box of material is as follows:

  • Box 2: 176 manuscripts transcribed of 532 (33%)
  • Box 27: 203 of 350 (58%)
  • Box 35: 186 of 439 (42%)
  • Box 50: 31 of 92 (34%)
  • Box 51: 17 of 940 (2%)
  • Box 70: 153 of 250 (44%)
  • Box 71: 104 of 665 (16%)
  • Box 72: 94 of 664 (14%)
  • Box 73: 114 of 156 (73%)
  • Box 79: 37 of 199 (19%)
  • Box 95: 44 of 147 (30%)
  • Box 96: 256 of 539 (48%)
  • Box 115: 222 of 307 (72%)
  • Box 139: 32 of 584 (5%)
  • Overall: 1,669 of the 5,262 (32%) manuscripts uploaded to the website have been transcribed thus far.

Box 73 is tantalisingly close to completion!
