Hi Diane,

Thanks for your comments and your offer of assistance. This is something we are looking to do in the long-term, as the focus remains upon transcribing material which hasn’t yet been done.

However, the blog has just been updated to reflect that we’re running a very small Legacy Transcript experiment at the Transcription Desk – feel free to have a go!

I’m more than happy to undertake the encoding required on the Legacy Transcripts … just put a link up and instructions when you’re ready!

Nice to see one of my transcribed folios up here, and by the way as one of the more mature contributors I remember the old manual typewriters, I learnt to type on a light blue metal Imperial!

Fabulous job by Transcribe Bentham staff (past and present) and Transcribe Bentham contributors … as the saying goes “many hands make light work”! I’ll be doing my best to make a fairly decent dent in the remaining folios, but the more the merrier. Do join us if you think you’d like to have a go and be part of this wonderful project!
