Student Finance England – key application dates for 2014/15

If you are a Home student joining UCL for undergraduate study in September 2014, please note that applications for tuition fee and/or maintenance funding from Student Finance England  (SFE) are being accepted NOW. To make sure you receive your first payment at the start of term, you must apply at www.gov.uk/studentfinance by 30 May 2014.  If the deadline date has passed, your first payment may not be ready for the start of term.

If you are a continuing Home undergraduate student at UCL, you should wait until you are contacted by Student Finance England (SFE) before re-applying.  SFE will start contacting students from the end of February 2014. To make sure you receive your first payment at the start of term, you must reapply by 27 June 2014.  If the deadline date has passed, your first payment may not be ready for the start of term.

New EU students will be able to download an application form at www.gov.uk/studentfinance from April 2014, and continuing EU students will be contacting by SFE about their re-applications from March 2014.

Please note that if your application form is returned more than 9 months after the start of your academic year it won’t be processed, and you may lose your full entitlement to student finance.
