Trial access to Amirsys (Ovid)

UCL has trial access to three Amirsys databases from Ovid until 24th June 2016. The databases are:
- Amirsys Anatomy Reference Center
- Amirsys Imaging Reference Center
- Amirsys Pathology Reference Center
Amirsys Anatomy Reference Center offers an image-rich source of gross anatomy and imaging anatomy information and insight. Featuring a combination of high-quality images and evidence-based diagnoses spanning a wide range of topics. Contents include:
- more than 10,000 images such as illustrations, cadaver photos
- radiology images and histology images
- comprehensive anatomy topics spanning regional, systemic and imaging anatomy perspectives
- significant histology and embryology coverage
Amirsys Imaging Reference Center offers a comprehensive source of radiology references with a combination of high-quality images, classical diagnoses, and evidence-based clinical content. Contents include:
- 72,000 x-ray, CT, MR, and ultrasound illustrations and images
- expert, evidence-based content – including over 4,000 diagnoses provided by imaging experts
- over 40,000 journal references
Amirsys Pathology Reference Center offers an image-rich source of information to gain pathology perspectives on diagnoses. Featuring a combination of high-quality images, diagnoses spanning a wide range of topics and clinical text. Contents include:
- nearly 30,000 images, including gross pathology, H&E, IHC stains, correlative images, and coloured graphics
- over 2,100 evidence-based diagnoses written by pathology experts and supported by thousands of journal references
- diagnosis topics include key terminology, a diagnosis checklist, a list of ancillary tests, multiple differential diagnoses
