Trial access to LatinNews Intelligence Service, including Latin American Advisory Reports

UCL has trial access to LatinNews Intelligence Service until 26th September 2015. To access reports in the Members Area – please see the UCL e-resources password page. For off-site access please use Web WTS or Desktop@UCL Anywhere.

LatinNews Intelligence Service produces objective political risk advisory reports for Latin America & the Caribbean since 1967

The resources produced are:

  • LatinNews Daily: round up and first-take analysis of the most consequential developments to have occurred throughout the region in the past 24 hours.
  • Weekly Report:  flagship risk report, providing insightful analysis of political, strategic and key economic developments, with early-warning risk pointers.
  • Economy & Business: comprehensive monthly report analysing economic trends, trade developments and business-environment issues, with markets reviews.
  • Regional Reports: series of four monthly reports focussing on the sub-regions of Mexico & NAFTA, the Caribbean & Central America, the Andean Group, and Brazil & the Southern Cone.
  • Security & Strategic Review: monthly report providing expert insights into strategic, foreign policy and security issues backed by data and statistics.
  • Special Reports: published bi-monthly, these thematic reports provide detailed, expert analysis of complex issues of a political, diplomatic, social, security or economic nature.
  • Monitoring Centre: an intelligence database of continuously updated country dossiers, with analysis from all our reports on a per-country basis. A useful tool for ad-hoc country risk assessments.
