Punch Historical Archive, 1841-1992

From 1841 to 1992 Punch magazine was celebrated for it’s humour and satire and played a central role in the formation of British identity – and how the rest of the world saw the British.

 The fully text searchable online archive aids research and teaching of 19th and 20th century political and social history, covering key themes such as:
