Nineteenth Century Collections Online – Mapping the World: Maps and Travel Literature features a series of fully searchable, historical maps. Mapping the World reflects the massive industrialisation, imperialism, and exploration taking place during the Nineteenth Century. Researchers can access online fully searchable, full-image maps, travel diaries, gazetteers, and guide books spanning the globe. The archive helps develop a rich insight into the era of cartography, illuminating the changes taking place in map creation and providing a textured and layered reading of the age of imperialism.
