‘The Voter Registration in Africa Database was created as a part of a broader project to develop and promote sustainable voter registration methodologies and models in Africa. EISA is implementing this project with the support of the UN Electoral Assistance Division (UNEAD).
The knowledge generated by this project and the experience shared will enable election administrators and donors to make more informed decisions on methodologies and technology for voter registration.
The purpose of the database is to make information about voter registration freely accessible. The database features an easy to use search facility for visitors to the web site. It houses over 1,000 resources in three languages (English, French and Portuguese) and covers most African countries.’
