Swingometers: BBC Archive

The latest BBC archive collection features a favourite from BBC election night coverage: the Swingometer. This tool (in its various forms!) has enabled presenters to represent and predict the impact of electoral ‘swing’ on seats in parliament. View online clips from the 1960s until 1970, including Peter Snow’s famous election night appearances.
