By Kieron L Jones, on 25 February 2010

Making the case for the Social Sciences a report by the Academy of Social Sciences, sponsored by the Economic and Social Research Council, was launched in February 2010. The 20 page report shows ways in which social science research can impact upon public policy making and the wellbeing of people. It uses a number of case studies from the UK ranging from crime prevention, poverty and re-employment to healthy diets and child wellbeing.
