Corruption in Afghanistan report

This site provides free access to a report by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime that was published in January 2010. The 46 page report was based on interviews with 7,600 people in Afghanistan. It records experiences and perceptions of bribery and corruption during the period autumn 2008 – autumn 2009. Topics covered include embezzlement by government officials, political corruption and nepotism. Reference is made to the impact on international security in the region.
