An original, thought-provoking and accomplished movie, where narrative, music and visuals are brought together to produce a satisfying performance. The content helps to make nonsense of the differentiation between so-called ‘fine art’ and ‘medical illustration’, and explores a dimension invisible to text-based historians.
My only niggles are an occasional irritation with the ‘concertina effect’ of moving in and out of still images, and an overwhelming desire to see something moving in a movie!!
