Key Elements

The GCRS Summer School will focus on four elements:

• Understanding of the emerging research agendas that go beyond single disciplines;

• Engagement with the academic discussion about cross-disciplinary research, including its ontologies, epistemologies and methodologies;

• Learning from the experience of such research undertaken by UCL staff, focussing particularly on work that addresses the four Grand Challenges; and

• Experiencing the challenges and excitements of preparing a research proposal with a mix of colleagues from different disciplines, focussing on topics that address the four Grand Challenges.
